Job seekers in the Portland area have a reason to be happy today as the Oregon wine Country’s first destination hotel kicked off a major hiring campaign amidst the highest unemployment rate in recorded Oregon history.
The Allison Inn hotel and spa of Newberg held it’s first of three job fairs on Thursday. They are filling approximately 200 positions in preparation for the grand opening of their 85 room resort this coming September. The job fair is open to the public and is being held at the Joan Austin Elementary School in Newberg. If you missed today, hiring managers will be waiting for you again Friday the 19th from 7am to 7pm and again on Saturday the 20th from 9am to 3pm.
Available positions run the full range of what you would expect for a high end hotel, spa, restaurant and event facility. Some specific positions include: Director of Catering, Hair Stylist, Accountant, Receptionist, Banquet Captain and Concierge. The Allison Inn sits on over 35 acres in the heart of the Oregon wine country with nearly 200 winery’s within a short drive.
