Managers Selected for Portland Investment Fund

The Oregonian and The Portland Business Journal are both reporting today that Portland based Tyfone has raised $5 million in venture capital. Tyfone is the latest in a long list of Portland area companies that have secured significant investment this year, bringing the Silicon Forest back into relevance.

Yet another Oregon company has landed venture financing this year. Today, G5 Search Marketing of Bend annouced that they raised $15 million from a Boston venture firm.

Portland based Puppet Labs (formerly known as Reductive Labs) has annouced today that they have taken a $5 million investment from veteran VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Puppet Labs moved their headquarters to Portland just last year and has now raised a total of $7 million.
