Reports are coming out of Afghanistan that the contract firm formerly known as BlackWater now known simply as Xe supplied some of its contractors in Afghanistan with weapons without the permission of the U.S. military. When contractors asked their superiors about the ban on weapons for contractors they were told to ignore the orders and to carry what they needed. Blackwater “Xe” has said that the contractors in question were fired after an incident involving a shooting with civilian Afghans and had no further comment at this time. It appears that Blackwater AKA Xe is still making a name for themselves in the middle east as the dark side of the United States involvement in the middle east.
