In an article in today’s Portland Business Journal, the U.S. Census Bureau reports the median household income for Oregon rose to $50,169 in 2008 from $48,730 in 2007. This ranks Oregon 27th in the nation, falling back two spots from 25th in 2007. Oregon is below the national average of $52,029.
