Chef’s Gone Wild? (or how PDX got shut of the James Beard Awards)

Really quickly I’d like to say congrats to the 3 Portland Chef’s that were nominated for James Beard Awards (though PDX was shut out of the JBF’s last night.). McGrath’s Files Chapter 11

According to the Portland Business Journal, Salem based McGrath’s Publick Fish House has filed for Chapter 11. The chain of 20 restaurants filed for protection on Wednesday. In the petition, they list between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors. The chain has 7 restaurants in Oregon, 1 in Idaho and 5 in both Washington and Arizona.

Chef Naomi Pomeroy to Appear in “O” Magazine

This according to EaterPDX.
It’s not like Chef Naomi Pomeroy needs the press for herself or Beast, but yet again she’ll be appearing in Oprah’s magazine. According to Eater she is getting ready to do the photo shoot today.
