ThePortlander is a new kind of news organization serving Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas. Our motto is “for Portland, by Portland.” Our mission is to cut through the junk and deliver only Portland and Oregon news. You wont find world or general entertainment news on our site, unless it has to do with Portland. The site is run by two Portlanders with a combined 50 years in the area. Some content is produced by the site founders while other content is created by community bloggers. We also know that we can’t provide the best coverage of everything so we frequently link to popular Portland related news around the web.
