  1. I started skating/biking in Portland in the mid 90′s. I have been to a large volume of parks all over the Portland metro area (Hood river, to Vancouver, back out to Newberg and further south than Salem) and I will never like one more than I like Burnside. I think Burnside will always be a staple in Portland just because of how long it has been standing. It was initially built without permission, then it was later granted and approved by the City. So it has a nostalgic history that none of the other parks can touch. There are a lot of challenging, and intimidating aspects to Burnside, but once you have managed to fit in and ride everything, you know you have progressed at your sport. One more remark about Burnside, I always like seeing the amazing paintings that would take place. It is very cool to see people are still actively involved in up-keep of the area. I hope these new generations of skaters and bikers can hold onto what was started some 20 years ago, now that a lot of people who were there in the beginning, like myself, are much too old to continue.

  2. We love to watch these guys! My kiddo use to go to the Tualatin Skate park, he’s now into bikes and rock climbing as well! This would be a great time that I could not otherwise afford.

  3. My kids love to skate & bike at Clackamette Park near Gladstone were we live..We also like to venture out to the Tualatin Skate Park. It’s good to see that these sports are finally being recognized through these Dew shows. They ROCK ;)

  4. By 15 year old son is all about skateboarding and long boarding. His current favorite place to long board is in Washington Park, near the zoo – a fairly long and steep path they call the ZooBomb. He goes once a week, and has new cuts and scrapes to show for it. Its great that he stays active during the summertime, though.

  5. My son is just picking up the sport, and he goes to the closest park, Benedict. This show would serve as some great motivation for a kid just starting out.

  6. Waterfront Esplanade and Burnside Skate Park! Portland is the BEST!

  7. We love to skate Pier Park and Newberg. My daughter tears the place up. Good times.

  8. My favorite place to skate in Portland is The Dude Barn. It is a mini-ramp at my friends house in NE.

  9. My son is loving everything to do with skateboarding!! I have come around to embracing his passion for SK8!! I have been taking him to skate shows, and found the means and the way to send him to skate camp. I drive him and his friends to Ed Benedict’s skate plaza in the Portland area (one of his favorites for street obstacles). I would love to continue to foster his passion for this sport by taking him to the Dew Tour. It would be amazing to see him light up even more by actually getting to see his skate heros!! Thank you for considering my son for these tickets. :)

  10. I have followed shaun alk of his skating career.what a sports man hes in a class if his own

  11. Ill say one thing.shaun white#1

  12. The best place to skate in Portland is Mt. Tabor park!

  13. My 2 boys Nico & Saige were born to be skateboarders and just have the passion for the sport. We drive around to find challenging parks but for the most part Portland has the best! We’ve skated and appreciated all of them even the small ones like Molalla and love the half pipe in St. Johns. Hood River and Woodburn. They all are awesome. We have scrapes and scars and bumps and bruises and we could build an addition to our home with all the broken boards…but this skateboarding is my boys passion, their sport by choice and as a single mom I will continue to support them as much ad I can. Thank you for this contest and it will help a kid go to the Dew Tour event and that’s like a dream come true to these skaters :)

  14. My son and I love to watch and participate in action sports together whenever we can. I dont get to see him often but when he is visiting me, we love to fill our days with skateboarding, snowboarding (which he will be learning more of this year) and anything that involves excitement. I have been able to introduce him to a few of my action sports heros like Dave Mirra, and Shawn White on some of our adventures. He likes to skate at the skate park in battle ground as well as the one downtown in the Saturday Market area, but as he is only 5, he has to take it easy, and be aware of all the big kids that are around those areas. He is visiting this week for the last time for a while due to his moms schedule and starting school, I WOULD LOVE TO TAKE HIM TO THE DEW TOUR< but it has been financially tough, and without free tickets, I am not sure if we will be able to go. Please choose us, for a wonderful father son experience that he and I will never forget. Thanks
