On the Oregon school report cards released today, a dozen North Clackamas Schools received top ratings as outstanding schools.

School report card ratings are based on student performance, student behavior, academic improvement, and school characteristics such as attendance and graduation rates.

The outstanding schools include Sunrise Middle School as well as View Acres, Sunnyside, Spring Mountain, Sojourner, Mt. Scott, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Concord, and Campbell elementary schools, plus Cascade Heights Public Charter School and Clackamas Middle College. Notably, three of these are high-poverty (Title 1) schools.

“This demonstrates concerted effort to focus on student learning, and the commitment of North Clackamas Schools to learning growth for each student,” said Superintendent Tim Mills. “Were very proud of our teachers and administrators for their constant efforts to help meet the individualized needs of students.”
