vancouver-policeLaw Enforcement for Youth announces that the 2009 Shop with a Cop program will be held December 12th at the South Salem Wal-Mart. This annual program partners local law enforcement officers with youth in need to shop together for a holiday gift. Each child is provided with a gift card by Law Enforcement for Youth.

Our Shop with a Cop program pre-selects children through partnership with local School Resource Officers and service agencies such as Marion County and Salem housing authorities. Children are selected that are low income, at-risk and or medically challenged. Selected youth are commonly not receiving holiday gifts from another source.

The program serves over 400 children annually. We are seeking community support for this years Shop with a Cop program. Sponsoring one or more children can be done by making a $25 charitable donation per child sponsored to Law Enforcement for Youth.
Donations should be sent to 2542 19th St. S.E., Salem, Oregon 97302.
