I can't wait to for a new bridge over the Columbia. I live in N. Portland and typically avoid 1-5 as much as possible because it's a total nightmare! Whatever you do, I want to see less commuting over the river from Vancouver, they're clogging the highways and neighborhood streets. I'm tired of the Vancouver commuters using N. Portland streets as a shortcut. I think the 3 reasonable solutions are adding Lightrail, Tolls and make a larger bridge.

I agree. I think ALOT of Vancourittes would use the max if they could jump on it and then ride it downtown. I bet traffic would be cut in half almost immediately.
