caduceiWhile our nation is in the midst of its largest health care debate ever, Oregon is quietly adding 4 new government health care panels. The panels will be run by board members nominated by the governor, pending confirmation by the state Senate.

The 4 new panels are:

  • Oregon Health Policy Board
  • Health Information Technology Oversight Council
  • Alcohol And Drug Policy Commission
  • Oregon State Hospital Advisory Board

The Statesman Journal has a complete review of the panels and what role they will plan for Oregon.

What do you think Oregon, are more boards and panels a step forward in health care and the governments involvement?
