Portland to Become New Hollywood North?

Daniel Baldwin (one of the many Baldwin Brother actors) recently went on record on AM Northwest and KFXX “The Fan” saying he plans to form a Portland-based production company called Grilletto Entertainment with local partners and family friends Terence McClelland and Charles Wall. Baldwin fell in love with Portland while traveling back and forth between projects in Los Angeles and Vancouver, B.C. He plans to make the Rose City his home, and is moving his family here in January. Grilletto will focus on reality TV, webisodes, and films.

PDXposed’s Jon Olson to Partner with Daniel Baldwin

It looks like local PDXposed host Jon Olson is set to partner with Daniel Baldwin and Grilletto Entertainment on a PDX reality TV series shooting a pilot here this fall.  When asked to comment, Olson was tight-lipped, saying:”My team is very excited about this wonderful opportunity to partner with Daniel Baldwin and Grilletto. Creating excellent entertainment and more importantly Portland area jobs is what it’s all about, especially in today’s economy. Stay tuned, as we say in the biz!”

Leverage Staying in Portland for Season 3

Filming for Season 2 of the popular TNT series Leverage (starring Timothy Hutton) is currently wrapping up filming in Portland, and local Portland actors have been waiting to see if the show would stay in the area for Season 3. The wait is over, and the news is good. Lana Veenker of Lana Veenker Casting was in the crowd at Dante’s on September 5,  when Christian Kane (Leverage actor and singer-songwriter) announced to the audience that Leverage is indeed returning to Portland for Season 3. According to Veenker the crowd went wild. Leverage is slated to begin filming Season 3 in March.
